Cosmetic Salespeople
Okay so I used to be one too but I was actually a good one and listened to my customers needs! :D
I am not going to claim I am an expert on all things makeup but I have my fair share of tips and tricks and tons of product knowledge. I credit all of that due to my trying out those products and through old teen magazines like Teen, Seventeen, YM, and teen People. Of course I read those when I was younger (from 1997-2002).
I dont expect people (sales gals at the cosmetics counter) to know I am in fact familiar with their foundation, lipstick, etc., but I also dont expect them to think I am completely naive either!
For example, I was at Ulta the other day when I walked over to the Too Faced/Urban Decay area. There was a "makeup artist" who was trying to be helpful and thought that just because I didnt have much makeup on (it was lunch time and my l/s had rubbed off) she thought I was m/u clueless! She asks me what I am looking for and I tell her "red lipstick of any kind" because I love red lipstick and want to have each one in the entire world! hahaha. Anyway so she takes me over to the TF liquid lipsticks and shows me a pale pink color "what about something like this? Umm, I dont think so! I dont think she knows the difference between red and pale pink or perhaps she just wasnt listening and continues to tell me about how its "so cool because its like a real lipstick only in liquid form. Like, they melt lipsticks and put them in the tube and then you could push it out!" All I said was "oh really, I didnt know that" to make her feel stupid and walked off. hehe sucka!
